A Part-Time

Job Opportunity

Best Page Forward/Selling for Authors

Are you a positive, motivated, organized person on the look out for a part-time position to supplement your income?

Do you like learning new platforms, helping people, and watching a company grow from the inside out?

We’re hiring a Project Manager. If you answered yes to the above questions, then you might just be the talented person I’m looking for.

I’m Bryan Cohen.

You might know me as the co-host of the “Sell More Books Show” podcast, or from the courses, services, and webinars I offer to help authors write and sell more books.

I’m always working on exciting new projects in an attempt to improve the author community and grow my business. To make sure these projects go off without a hitch, I need a hand to get them all done.

I’m looking for a Project Manager to serve as the control center for all the new projects happening with my business this year and into the future.

This is a part-time remote position with potential for expansion into a full-time position.

This position does not require you to be a book marketing guru. I can teach you all the ins and outs of that.

But you do need a “people often catch me smiling” attitude and a willingness to learn things like email marketing, opt-in pages, webinars, and lead magnets.

My brand is a positive and helpful one that seeks to help as many people in the author community as possible. I expect you to help keep that brand consistent and reliable with each project we put out.

If those things excite you as opposed to scaring you, then you’re the person I’m looking for.

The Project Manager...

  • Organizes the plan for getting tasks completed. He/she will be held responsible for the success of these projects.
  • Works with the brand owner (me!) to set deadlines to ensure projects stay on schedule through completion.
  • Tackles detail-oriented tasks to ensure projects are completed to the best of their ability.
  • Works with the Customer Service Specialist to keep up with changes to ongoing tasks.
  • Sets up and tests processes (like opt-in pages and email lists) to ensure they’re working properly. If the project is not ready to publish, the Project Manager will require more work on the task.

Here’s who this position is NOT for:

  • Those who are already working 40+ hours a week and can’t possibly focus on something new.
  • Those who say, “I hate people” on a regular basis.
  • Those who need a lot of hand-holding to get tasks accomplished.
  • Those who have a problem being behind-the-scenes of a project.
  • Those who aren’t willing to sign a non-disclosure agreement.

However, this position is for a person who:

Is a resourceful self-starter.

Works well with other people and can build rapport quickly.

Has great attention to detail.

Takes ownership and pride in their work.

Is not afraid of new challenges.

Loves learning new things and can implement new ideas quickly.

Is technology savvy.

Can juggle lots of moving pieces while keeping everything together.

Can handle stress and tight deadlines.

Has a sense of humor.

Here’s what the right person will LOVE about this position:

  • You’ll get paid to learn new ways to make things work.
  • You’ll get to work in a fast-growing company with many growth opportunities now and in the future.
  • You’ll get to see “behind the scenes” of how I grew my business to over 30,000 subscribers and 100,000+ books sold.
  • You’ll get to do your work from anywhere: your living room, your favorite coffee shop, a hotel pool, wherever you want!
  • You’ll be part of a company with one main goal: helping people create successful online publishing businesses so they can focus on their passions.
