A Part-Time

Job Opportunity

Best Page Forward/Selling for Authors

Do you love helping other people find the information they need quickly and efficiently?

Are you an excellent communicator with an attitude and sense of humor that tends to lift up the others around you?

Are you interested in learning new skills while taking on a part-time position to supplement your income?

We’re Hiring a Customer Service Specialist. If you answered yes to the above questions and you're a Facebook and email whiz who wishes your current jobs made use of your skills, then you might be the person I’m looking for.

I’m Bryan Cohen.

You might know me from my “Sell More Books Show” podcast, or from the courses, services, and webinars I offer to help authors sell more books and grow their careers.

As my business has grown, it’s become more and more difficult to keep up with authors who contact me through Facebook, Twitter, email, and other platforms.

I’m willing to admit that I need some help to keep up with all these wonderful authors.

I’m looking for a Customer Service Specialist to maintain and grow my business’ strong connection with authors now and into the future.

This is a part-time remote position with potential for expansion into a full-time position.

I don’t need you to know everything there is to know about book marketing. I can teach you that.

But I do need you to be willing to take the time with each author to ensure they’re getting the help they need. I need you to make sure the authors who contact me receive the information that will let them take the next step in their careers.

If you take pride in helping others and in reaching Inbox Zero, then you might be the person I’m looking for.

The Customer Service Specialist...

  • Is the first person to make contact with new clients, authors who need a hand, or fellow author educators.
  • Monitors social media and email for new messages and follows up with customers and students to ensure peak satisfaction.
  • Regularly checks in with the Project Manager and the brand owner (me!) to make sure all communications are up to date and running smoothly
  • Goes out of his/her way to be kind and go the extra mile with customers to turn them into raving fans of the business.

Here’s who this position is NOT for:

  • Those who say “I hate people” on a regular basis.
  • Those who get easily frustrated by circular conversations or long email or Facebook threads.
  • Those who aren’t willing to sign a non-disclosure agreement.
  • Those who aren’t willing to put a little bit of themselves and their personality into their job.
  • Those who have too much going on in their lives and other jobs to focus on having excellent interactions with customers.
  • Those who hate email, social media, or talking on the phone.

However, this position is for a person who:

Loves people.

Can handle stress and a packed inbox.

Is a high-functioning communicator.

Can handle constructive criticism.

Is not afraid of new challenges.

Loves learning new things and can implement new ideas quickly.

Is technology savvy.

Can handle lots of things going on at once.

Would rather “get the job done” then watching the clock and checking out immediately at 5.

Is organized and takes pride in organization.

Has a sense of humor.

Takes pride in making other peoples’ day.

Here’s what the right person will LOVE about this position:

  • You’ll get paid to make others happy and get them what they’re looking for.
  • You’ll get to work in a fast-growing company with lots of growth opportunities now and in the future.
  • You’ll see “behind the scenes” of how I grew my business from scratch to 30,000 subscribers and 100,000+ books sold.
  • You’ll get to do your work from anywhere: your dining room table, the coffee shop around the street, the local pool, or anywhere else that strikes your fancy!
  • You’ll be part of a company with one main goal: helping people create successful online publishing businesses so they can focus on their passions.
